Pendant “Fighting Fish”

Materials: Anodized titanium, tsavorites, rhodolites, and purple garnet (Mahenge).

The idea for this piece was inspired by the striking combination of aggression and beauty in fighting fish — a beauty that reveals itself most vividly in moments of conflict.
In Buddhism, the symbol of two fish is linked to Samsara, the ocean of the life cycle and endless rebirths. It represents liberation from the burden of worldly passions.

This pendant was created during a particularly challenging period in the artist’s life — personal experiences that deeply shaped the image and emotional resonance of the work.

Entirely handcrafted and one of a kind, the piece took over five months of intense labor to complete.
Each part was cut by hand and assembled with miniature screws.
The fish were sculpted from solid blocks of titanium using a carving technique.
